Female tiger yawning, Kanha National Park, India
This is the "Minkur female" tiger, who was 10 years old when I took this photo on 04 December 2009. She was successfully raising cubs despite the two broken canine teeth evident in the photo. By 2013, she had lost another canine tooth, but still raised her last cubs to adulthood.
